2,588 Lego Bricks – Perfect Marriage!

You are looking at 2,588 lego bricks that make up one the of the most perfect lego designs EVER!

Gizmodo had a contest to come up with a new case for a mac that has to be made out of lego bricks.  And here we have the winner.  The “designer” used the lego Digital Designer 2.0  to build this for the MacMod Challenge.

The mac features two computers.  One is a core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz and a Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66Ghz.

What is a little diappointing is that when you click through, you’ll see some more images of the case and setup.  On the exterior Apple logo hangs a little Lego Steve Jobs.  The sad part is that Steve is not included! :(  Click the image or here to read more about the lego case mod.

Why do I loves this so much????  It combinds two of my favorite things in the world.. Apple and Lego’s!!!  Now how can we fit Sex and Renee into this picture?!?!?

Thomas Road Baptist Church – Awesome Rig

About two weeks ago, I went down to Lynchburg, VA to visit and demo a console at Thomas Road Baptist Church.  We did the orginal install about 3 years ago and they have been god customers since.  What was great was that the console we demod was setup in next to no time and we had this look on stage in about 30 minutes with 30+ movers and 12 CMY mixers.  Pretty impressive I would say!!!

Perfect Timinig Today

I don’t know what I was doing right today, but when ever I needed to catch the subway or the train, I was perfectly on time!  I walk throught the toll and right on to the train/bus with out running, breaking a sweet or ANYTHING!

Maybe I should be reading this as a sign that the apple LOVES me and wants to please me.

OR

I could go the complete oposite and say that they are making it easy for me to get out of town becuase I couldn’t do it any faster!

Either way, it was GREAT, thanks MTA!

eBay: BUY MY STUFF!!1

I completely forgot to blog about this. This past weekend while I was clearing out things that I don’t need…

Yes, this is part of my 101 list of things to do.

I put up my Radio Remote Focus Unit from ETC for the Express line of consoles.  While this is only really interesting to just a couple of people, take a look AND BID!!!! I want more more of this thing!  The retail on this thing was over $1000!!!

But on the other hand, if it gets a good loving home and a decent price, who am I to complain?

Check out the listing on eBay here.  At the time of this posting, there are 2 days left!!!

Goodbye My Mini :(

I forgot to mention yesterday…

As soon as I got home yesterday from selling my PB, I got a call on the cell from another person that wanted to buy my Mini!!  So, back out in the foul weather to deliver the mini to it’s new loving home.

So, if we do the math now, Justin is down to one, YES, ONE Apple computer.  But this will change eventually as Renee and I do want a laptop for surfing.

And yes, I still own more then 4 iPods, but I am not getting into that!

Goodbye my PB :(

It has happened, I parted ways with my G4 PowerBook Today.Craiglist has done it again.  I posted my 15″PB on washington’s craiglist this morning and by 2pm today, she found a new loving home.

Looking back on her life with me, I truely am beining to miss her.  She helped me start up my business and helped me with alot of projects and so forth.  She also made me a BUNCH of money.

The torch has no been passed on to the Mac Pro.  While the MP has made some money, I can only hope she does just as well as the PB.

Live long a prosper my dear old friend, you will be missed!

Pumpkin Spice Latte is BACK!!1

As usual, I head into my favorite starbucks this morning to pick up the usual Ventie Mocha with Whole milk. I don’t know why, but I love it! So waiting on my barista to finish making my mocha, I look up at the chalk board behind the counter and notice that the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back on the menu!!!  How exciting is that?  Now I just have to train my baristas on my fall drink.

Jackson John Karcher Losenegger

Click the image for a larger size, be warned, over 1mg!

On all days to have a baby, my cousin Kelly, had here son on September 1, Labor Day!!!  Lance and Kelly named their baby boy, Jackson John Karcher Losenegger…. (i think that is his whole name!)  While there were much better shots of that baby boy, I really liked this one!

Congratulations to both!  Can’t wait to see the kid in April, if not sooner.

Adobe to Release CS4 sooooooon

Another interesting note on the apple blogs is that Adobe is set to release CS4 sooooon. The announcement date has been set for September 23, while the actual release date has not. But reading some of the other blogs, it sounds like the release date should be some where around 3-4 weeks after the announcement date.

This is good news.  I am still running CS2 and have been meaning to upgrade to CS3.  This announcement means to hold off until CS4 comes out.  I might as well buy a full version as the upgrades to CS3 and CS4 would be just as much!

Other World Computing is Out of the World

Back when I first purchased my Mac Pro, I mentioned that my personal shopper, Mike recommend that I get the bare bones system and use OWC or Other World Computing to purchase any upgrades.

Well the other day I had to log into my windows XP system running on parallels on the Mac Pro.  I noticed that it was eating 3/4 of my 2 gigs of ram up and slowing down the machine.  That broke the camels back, I had to upgrade the Mac Pro.

I logged onto macsales.com and found 4 gigs of ram (2 dims of 2 gigs matched!) for $159.95!!  It’s all apple qualified and ready to go out of the box.  So I ordered it up and got it on Friday.  OWC included a sheet on how to upgrade the ram in the Mac Pro and everything.  Now I am still a little confused on the placement and all that when it comes to the Mac Pro ram, but I’l deal with upgrading more and placement on the two boards later.

So the MP now has a blistering 6 gigs of ram!!!  I am not even half full on the possible memory upgrades!!!  I still have 26 gigs of ram possible!!!! Fuking awesome!!1

Just another mild step in complting my 101 list!
